I left a lot of smiling faces in my wake yesterday as I 'dosed' out the chocolate cake wherever I went! More on the cards for today!
When I got home in the afternoon I discovered two "Sorry we missed you" cards in the letterbox.
One from the Royal Mail, who I have trained over the years to leave packages in my 'safe place' - which they duly had done - the combs for my new binding machine.
I must have read the description wrong as I had thought they were plastic, when in actual fact they are metal coated in plastic - bonus!
I suspect the second parcel may have been the binding machine itself, but as it was a courier I was previously unaware of (DPD), they took it away with them again!
They left a somewhat confusing card - in one place saying they would bring the parcel back the next working day & another saying you had to ring the number within four days of missing the first delivery to arrange a redelivery?
I am meant to be out all day today, so when I rang I was hoping to use the 'Leave in a safe place option' - but unfortunately it is an automated service where you can choose a day for the redelivery, & to tell them you want it left in a safe place, but not where the safe place is.
It tells you to fill that inon the card & leave it in a position where the driver will find it! Kind of defeats the object of the 'safe place' though doesn't it?
Anyhow, I have no choice as I am out every weekday, so didn't matter what day I chose for redelivery I wouldn't be here! So I decided on today anyhow - & I will have to take my chances that my safe place will remain safe?
Today I have the backing paper I mentioned yesterday, it is a design featuring just a very few of the items on display at the V & A.
If you look closely at the top or bottom row you will see that it is an absolutely beautiful table top, decorated with famous buildings from around the world from that era. (You can do this when you open the file in its PDF format by enlarging it)!
