----------------------------------------------------------
Definitions:
Decoupage: From the initial image, the background is cut away layer by layer to create a 3D effect - so whatever is in the foreground of the image will be the final uppermost layer.
Pyramage: From the initial image a small equal border is trimmed away layer by layer to create a 'pyramid' if viewed from the side when complete.
Stackopage: Here the image remains the same throughout each layer, but is shrunk down in size equally with each successive layer.
Invertage/Invertiage: From the initial image a small equal border is carefully cut from the edge, layer by layer this border becomes wider. Then using the initial image as a base, the widest border would be the first layer, & the narrowest would be the last. This gives the impression of being drawn into the image when complete. (You often get a pyramage & invertage on the same sheet as they are actually the 'waste' from one another)!
Twisted Pyramage/Stackopage/Invertage: As above but each layer is designed to be slightly twisted to create the same effect as above, but off centre.
